Control your mind you control everything

First we need to practice and second we need to learn to detach and let go. This may seem a contradiction, but if you think about it control is the ability to detach and let go of the emotions that get us into trouble. This is not easy. It is something we must continue to practice not just for the time we spend in yoga class, but beyond class and into our everyday lives. It means to be eternally aware and watchful of your thoughts as they arise. We use the yoga poses, such as down dog, to teach us how to discipline our bodies as we move into the pose. But to maintain it we need to breathe and let go, detach and surrender. These two opposing forces work together to create balance. What we are seeking is the balance between matter and spirit

Seek balance in all things and in all things seek balance. This is best understood as moderation.
